Research
Innovative Analytics’ research offerings are based upon decades of research design and management across geographies, time zones and cultures. They range from helping simplify complex problems to discovering new insights on behalf of clients.
We conduct studies, perform discrete research projects and undertake commissions. We review or manage open source research efforts and programs. We also provide consulting on data collection and overall approaches to strategic decisions.
We provide independent research that takes advantage of our unique global expert network and our familiarity with research methods and tools. You also save time, and benefit from our independent perspective on issues.
Here is an example of how we can help. A customer ranging from the National Intelligence Council to a corporate executive board may have a portfolio of questions that require answers over different time frames, from hours to month. Some of these may be standing questions and others ad hoc. For these clients, Innovative Analytics may serve in a variety of roles:
- As a primary research analyst
- As a provider of alternate information for analysis
- As a broker and evaluator of the existing “threads” of information about a subject that exist globally or locally
- As an independent reviewer of analytic products
To initiate these projects, we will meet with you to understand the research question(s), the schedule, the format and the review requirements in addition to the available or potential sources of data and the acceptance criteria.
We conduct our research projects over days to months, with an occasional project lasting a year or so.
For an example of how we could help you, see our case study—and review how we have solved similar research problems for other clients.
Case Study:
Problem: A federal agency was operating a critical reporting process in a widely stove-piped environment. The client requested a review of the current processing and the identification of an alternative that would meet its obligation of maintaining a unified, collaborative reporting process across the enterprise.
Solution: Innovative Analytics’ personnel surveyed multiple agencies, divisions and departments to ascertain the current state of report processing, and then identified requirements for a sustainable and applicable end-state. Innovative Analytics explored in depth the gap between the current and to-be environments to fully understand the methodology that would grow out of enterprise-wide requirements. Together with agency representatives, Innovative Analytics developed a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) that both inspired participation and detailed rules of engagement that impelled a new collaborative approach.
